Herbalism Meets Forest Therapy
Heather Houskeeper “The Botanical Hiker” is an herbalist, forest therapy guide, long-distance hiker, and yoga teacher. Heather is dedicated to educating and empowering others to better understand, connect, and work with the natural world to foster individual and collective healing.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Warren Wilson College, certificates in herbal medicine, forest therapy, and yoga, and has hiked thousands of miles on long distance trails. Her long journeys – including a thru-hike on the Appalachian Trail – inform and inspire her nature-based work.

Heather provides guided plant walks, herbal workshops, private holistic herbal consultations, and is the founder of the School of Plant and Place Connection: an in-person herbal medicine school cultivating kinship with the natural world.
