Visiting Milford Health House: your questions answered
We get the same handful of questions from most first-time visitors, so here they are in one place. If yours isn't below, call us on 570-832-0003 or email welcome@milfordhealthhouse.com — we're happy to walk you through it.
What is Milford Health House?
A recovery and wellness spa in downtown Milford. We combine wellness technology — infrared sauna, cold plunge, PEMF, EWOT oxygen training, the Lucia N°3 light system, whole body vibration — with practitioner treatments like massage and esthetics. Think of it as a place to recover, reset, and take care of your body, not a medical clinic.
What are your hours?
Monday to Friday, 8am–6pm. Saturday and Sunday, 9am–5pm. We're open every day of the week.
Do I need to book ahead, or can I just walk in?
Booking ahead is the best way to guarantee your preferred time, especially for the cold plunge, sauna and Lucia light, which get busy on evenings and weekends. Call 570-832-0003 or book online, and we'll always try to fit in walk-ins when we have space.
What should I expect from the cold plunge and infrared sauna?
Most people pair the two: heat in the infrared sauna (with red light and vitamin D lamps), then a short, bracing dip in the Odin Cold Plunge XL. New to cold plunging? Start with a shorter dip and let a staff member know — there's no need to go straight to the deep end.
Is the BioCharger a proven treatment?
We'll be straightforward: it's the service with the thinnest research base of anything we offer. There's no independent clinical evidence for the device itself, and the broader bioresonance research it draws on is old and limited. Any benefit people report is more likely relaxation or the time set aside than anything measurable. We offer it as a wellness experience, not a medical treatment, and it isn't suitable if you have a pacemaker or other electronic implant.
What is EWOT (oxygen training), and who is it for?
EWOT stands for Exercise With Oxygen Therapy — light exercise on our Da Vinci Medical HyperMax system while breathing higher-oxygen air. It's popular with people looking to support their training recovery. As with everything here, it's a wellness tool, not a medical treatment — check with your doctor first if you have a heart or lung condition.
Do you offer massage and facials too?
Yes — massage and esthetics/facials sit alongside our recovery technology, along with a small number of specialized treatments. Ask our front desk for current availability and pricing.
Do you offer memberships or packages?
Yes, both. Memberships suit people who want to build recovery into a regular routine; packages and self-guided treatments work well for an occasional visit or a gift. Ask at the front desk or call 570-832-0003 and we'll match you to the right option.
Where are you, and how do I get in touch?
